Pendula by Asktheswanprincess Pendula by Asktheswanprincess
Wanted to do a more frontal ref for her, hadn't really drawn her for a while.
open to rp's and questions ))

species: weeping willow dryad
age: Undetermined, she's lived in the willow forests of the swan kingdom as long as she can recall

Personality: relatively sad and weepy at times, quiet demeanor, wary of those from outside the forest. Turns into a tree when really sad. Despite being out by herself plenty of things can make her sad such as; feeling alone, finding swan babies who didn't make it or when tree's are cut down.

likes water, tending to the swans and their babies, they trust her to be around them. Night and day, stars and fireflies, birds and butterflies, flowers.

-Those in the kingdom who just hear or catch a glimpse of her had made rumors that she's a lost spirit or something.
-She doesn't really understand the concept of clothing, hence why she wears none pft. She's shy and tentative but that's probably the only thing that doesn't bother her.

Swan
-------------------
Stalking the Swan Kingdom had become more like a new hobby. Swan had her curiousity piqued, wondering how she'd ever rule over a kingdom of herself, but that seemed like such a detail. For now she had to think about infiltrating and taking over, though it must be fate, so she assured herself she shouldn't worry about it too much. Nothing looked familiar, but she was certain her memory was somewhere in there.
 But how to get it?

She glided down towards a wooded area that morning, seeking shelter from sight - only realising last moment that the leaves hung down like grappling arms, and catching all her feathers up - and, regrettably, she was soon a hanging mess caught up in the vines.
She kicked her feet a bit and fluttered her wings with frustration. "You must be the guards -- You can't stop me!" She huffed indignantly before biting into her newly proclaimed enemy and trying to rip them off of her.

Pendula: The weeping dryad was making her way through the woods of her home, going about her business as she did every morning and any day. Stopping occasionally to see some of the swans and their babies when she saw them going by, they trusted her, had no reason to fear her, knowing she was a being of the willow forest. Everything was as it normally was, seemingly nothing out of the ordinary that would give her a start or make her fearful of something unknown and new.
Until she heard a voice, and the sound of heavy fluttering and rustling about, deeper in the low hanging leaves above of the willow trees. This instantly made her wary and she ducked down behind a tree as she wasn't familiar with these sounds or whoever they belonged to. Cautiously, she peaked around the body of the tree and glanced up through her leafy hair, to see something or rather someone, gold and white, tangled among the foliage. They seemed to be in trouble so..They couldn't necessarily be a threat? She was wary, but..she couldn't just leave them, could she?
Softly she stepped around until she could see them better, her weepy gaze adjusting to make out what looked like a girl, and feather hair all tangled up in the leaves. Aside from the touches of gold, she kind of looked like the swans.. Swallowing thickly, she sought to speak up.* "H-Hello?

Swan
------------------

She flitted and fought against her worthy opponent, hastily trying to free herself. Nothing was coming out from her attempts so far, but she refused to let herself lose when she was so close already! But in the midst of her sounds of frustration and beats of her wings, Swan's attention had been caught by a meek voice somewhere behind her. She tipped her head back, golden eyes narrowed to the figure who seemed to be seeking the tree for camouflage. She could barely make her out, save for her eyes. "A-ah- hey! - could I have some help?" was the call out in response to the meek voice - that was, until she noticed...
Her wings stopped fluttering for freedom immediately, bending slightly to adjust her new upside-down gaze. In any regards - the assumed person looked just like those who had entrapped her and wished to confiscate her right to the throne as heiress. Swan puffed out her cheeks slightly, keeping her eyes on the other. "Oh, you're one of them, aren't you! I'll tell you the same thing - you can try all you want to stop me, but I won't give up!"Then very elegantly, she stuck out a golden tongue towards the dryad like the mature lady she was. Certainly, she wouldn't receive any help from that girl. Fending off the leaves would have to be a job to do alone then!

Pendula: *She jumped just a bit as the other girl immediately asked for help once she realized she was there, but before she could move to do anything, she noticed was giving her a rather odd look, her cheeks puffed out and eyeballing her in a not so pleasant fashion. Along with this she began accusing her of being 'one of them'? The dryad didn't understand this, confusion became her expression as the girl said she couldn't stop her and added onto it with sticking her tongue out at her. This odd gesture confused her even more so, and she shrunk down a bit beneath her long, leafy hair. "I-I'm sorry? I don't..I don't understand..I did something wrong..? So you...you don't need help? " She asked, her voice still soft and meek, possibly even more so than before as she warily took a step back from the still trapped girl.

Daisy: *drifting slowly, fast asleep in a large pond in a willow forest, he just looks like a bed of beautiful flowers and moss afloat in the water*

Pendula: *The Dryad was sitting quietly beside one of the large ponds of the forest, watching some of the younger swans as they paddled about in the water, following after their parents when she happened to notice what looked to be a bed of flowers and moss, floating along the top of the water. She blinked her weepy looking gaze at it with slight curiosity, she didn't usually see something like that floating out there in the water. Usually it was lily pads, or strands of leaves from the willow tree's.*

Daisy: *a curious swan nips at a small flower on his head, stirring him away. He sits up, startling the bird, and yawns. Then looks around with a confused and sleepy expression, till his blurry eyes spots Pendula's figure* That tree looks like a lady... *he squints* Or does that lady look like a tree? *he swims over to the girl to get a better look at her* Hello there.

Pendula: *She was clearly startled then as a curious swan had gone over to this patch, and before she knew it that flower patch was sitting up in the water, and she saw it wasn't a patch of flowers at all! But a boy! Her currently visible eye beneath her hair was wide at the site, especially as they seemed to take notice of her and head her way. Out of fearfulness she scooted back a bit from the waters edge, though not very far before they were in front of her and saying hello. Biting her lip, she meekly let out a soft "Hello..

Daisy: "So you are a girl..." He stated the obvious in a groggy voice and tilted his head at her, before give her a soft smile. He reached out slowly till his index finger nudged one of the leaves that hung from the branch on her head. "A girl with leaves..." He grinned and then moved his hand away from her hair. "It's nice to mean you. I'm a guy with grass", he moved his hand so it rustled through the grass that stuck up from his head for emphasis. "My name is Daisy."

Pendula: *She proceeded to keep quiet while the stranger spoke, and even went so far as to nudge one of the leaves that hung from a branch in her hair. They went on to point out that they were also a being of nature, that she could clearly see now, which was sort of relieving, but it didn't mean she wasn't still a little wary. They then introduced themselves as 'Daisy' while brushing a hand through their grassy hair. She went onto grasp some of her own leafy hair, running her hands timidly over it.* "Um..Pendula..M-My name is Pendula.."
